McMurry Football Reunion - RSVP Here!

Last fall Steve Keenum (McMurry Head Football Coach 1995-2003) came through the DFW Metroplex and met a few of us for breakfast one morning. We talked about all the good times we had playing football at McMurry and how we hadn't seen a lot of our teammates and coaches in many years.

Coach Keenum encouraged us to organize a reunion so we could all come back together. After some discussion, here is the plan.

This summer on Saturday evening, June 25th, we will gather for the McMurry Football reunion which will be held at the Red Dirt Pavilion in Buffalo Gap, Texas. Map Link

This event is being organized by some former McMurry football players and is open to everyone and their families who in the past have coached, played, participated or otherwise supported the McMurry football program.

Matt Stapp (Tight End 1997-2000) and his band, Marley Prase, will perform a concert and food will be provided.

There is NO COST for the event, but we WILL be taking donations. The donations will go to offset the cost of the evening (venue, food, entertainment, etc). Any money that is left over will be donated to the scholarship fund shown below. Donate Here

Jeremie Border Endowed Scholarship

Jeremie Border was from Mesquite, Texas and played football at McMurry from 2002 through 2005 before graduating in 2006. After graduating, Jeremie then enlisted in the United States Army and quickly achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant.

SSgt. Border was killed in action in Afghanistan on September 1, 2012 while serving his country in Operation Enduring Freedom. He was a Green Beret who earned the Bronze Star with Valor for the many lives he saved on the day he made the ultimate sacrifice.

We have decided that any money raised with our gathering will be donated to the Jeremie Border Endowed Scholarship Fund at McMurry University.
